Imran demanding early elections on someone else’s directions: PPP’s Kaira
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Tuesday that Imran Khan has been demanding early elections on someone else’s directions, persisting that such a demand should not be backed.
Talking to a press conference today, Kaira suggested that only the people should decide which party should rule and control their decisions. “We don’t want snap elections. People will decide the government’s decisions through their votes,” he said.
The PPP Central Punjab president opined that it is possible that an astrologer told Imran Khan that he can win elections this way, but it doesn’t take long to worsen the situation for anyone. He maintained that elections should be held on time and they would not allow any power to call elections before the time.
Kaira criticised Imran Khan saying that he has those people around him now who he used to consider corrupt at one stage. He said that his party doesn’t agree with the Supreme Court verdict in Hudaibiya case, adding that criminal cases even be heard after 20 years.
The PTI Chairman has reiterated his party’s demand for early elections multiple times while terming it the only way to save democracy.
