Imran challenges Nawaz, says will initiate movement in support of judiciary
ISLAMABAD, DEC 20 (DNA) – Hours after Nawaz Sharif vowed to start a ‘justice restoration movement’, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan challenged ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that he will start a movement in support of the judiciary.
Imran’s comment came after Nawaz announced to start a movement for the restoration of justice in the country on Tuesday after his hearing at the accountability court.
“I challenge Nawaz Sharif to start a Tehreek against judiciary as I will start one in support of our judiciary & we will see whom the people support. Or if he has the courage he should tell his puppet PM Abbasi to call early elections and let the nation make its choice,” he said.
Addressing a public gathering in Okara, earlier on December 17, Imran ridiculed Nawaz Sharif’s assertion regarding initiating a movement against the judiciary, he asked if he had ever started even a single campaign in his entire life.
Nawaz, he said, should keep in mind that for 30 years, the same judiciary cooperated with Sharifs.
Describing Shahid Khaqaan Abbasi as Sharif’s puppet, he also said, “When you start a movement, people will ask you why you tried to alter the law on the finality of Prophethood? Who did you want to please?”
