I will never forget love and affection of Pakistani people: Emilian ION
ISLAMABAD, JUNE 06 (DNA) – Dean of Europe Emilian ION, Ambassador of Romania has said he spent eventful seven and half years in Pakistan and now he is leaving in August to a new posting.
The Romanian ambassador was speaking on the occasion of a dinner hosted by Syed Ahmed President of the Pakistan Romania Friendship Association for the Association members and the Romanian ambassador.
Ambassador Emilian further said during his stay in Pakistan he had the chance of interacting with people from all walks of life. He, during this tenure, visited many cities of Pakistan and found Pakistani people very hospitable and kind.
He said, he will remember golden days spent in Pakistani with Pakistani friends. He offered his Pakistani friends to come to Romania and be his guest. He would love to host them in Romania.
Ambassador Emilian further said, all successes, which he achieved during his tenure in Pakistan could be possible only with the help of his Pakistani friends. He added, during his stay he tried to contribute towards promotion and strengthening of bilateral relations.
Talking briefly about his achievements in Pakistan he said, he was able to open consulates in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Faisalabad, after which trade and economic activity between the two countries has increased manifold.=DNA
