Ihsan XI defeat Nishtar club to win Qauid-e-Azam hockey cup
ISLAMABAD, DEC 29(DNA) – Ihsan XI defeated Nishtar Hockey Club during a friendly match played in connection with Quaid Day, at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, on Saturday
Mubashar Bhatti Member of Norwegian National Cricket Team and senior hockey player Tariq Bhatti were the chief guests.
Ihsan XI from the outset over-powered the opposite team and scored an early goal that virtually brought Nishtar hockey club under pressure.
However, in the 20th minute of the game Hassan Bhatti scored an equalizer through a splendid penalty corner push.
Awais Bhatti scored second goal from Nishtar in the dying moments of the first half thus putting his team in a vantage position.
However the Ihsan Xi then made some extraordinary moves and scored three more goals to clinch the match by 4-2.
The coach of Ihsan XI, Ihsanullah Khan who is a former member of Pakistan hockey team, while talking to DNA lauded excellent hockey skills exhibited by both the teams and wished them best of luck.

He hoped that his team would perform well in the upcoming tournament to be played in Lahore. International Umpire Sohail Janjua and National umpire Mohammad Azeem supervised the match.=DNA
