High-level appointments, transfers in Pakistan Army
RAWALPINDI, April 23 (DNA): The Pakistan Army on Tuesday announced a number of appointments and transfers in its ranks.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has been appointed Adjutant General of Pakistan Army at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas has been named Director General Joint Staff, while Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood has been appointed IG C&IT.
Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza will continue as Vice Chief of General Staff.
Lieutenant General Adnan has been appointed Commander Bahawalpur Corps.
On April 12, the ISPR announced Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Major General Nauman Mahmood, Major General Azhar Abbas and Major General Faiz Hameed have been promoted to the rank of lieutenant general.
Earlier this month, 40 brigadiers of the Pakistan Army were promoted to the rank of major general. Those promoted to the rank of major general included 11 brigadiers from the Pakistan Army Medical Corps. DNA
