HEC to strengthen linkages, collaboration between Pakistani, Omani institutions
ISLAMABAD, APR 20 /DNA/ – Executive Director Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan Dr. Zia Ul Haq held a meeting with Consul General Oman Engr. Sami Abdullah Al-Khanjari at the Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Karachi.
The HEC delegation comprised Advisor (Research and Innovation Division) HEC Dr. Muhammad Ali Nasir, Member HEC Commission Dr. Aurangzeb Khan and Vice Chancellor Dewan University Karachi.
The discussion focused on establishing a robust framework for institutional linkages between the higher education sectors of Pakistan and Oman.
During the session, Dr. Zia Ul Haq reaffirmed HEC’s commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman. He emphasised that HEC will provide comprehensive support to accelerate joint ventures, noting the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two nations as a foundation for academic excellence.
Engr. Sami Abdullah Al-Khanjari appreciated the proactive role of HEC in promoting higher education and expressed the Sultanate’s keen interest in translating these discussions into tangible partnerships that benefit the youth and academic communities of both countries.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to develop a roadmap for future engagements, ensuring that the discussed opportunities result in concrete academic milestones.
