Hafiz Saeed gets a big relief from LHC
LAHORE, MAR 07 (DNA) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has given a big relief to JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed as he had apprehensions of being arrested by the authorities.
LHC today ordered Federal and Punjab government to not arrest or put Jamaat-ud-Dawa Chief Hafiz Saeed under house arrest until further notice.
Hafiz Saeed had pleaded to the court against his possible arrest. In the plea he argued that the government is under pressure from the United States and India and wants to arrest him.
Justice Amin-ud-din Khan heard the petition. Law officers representing federal and provincial governments pleaded the court for more time to submit replies. Justice allowed their plea and put off further proceedings until April 04.
