Govt releases Rs 482 bln for development projects
ISLAMABAD, 26 JUNE, (DNA) – The Federal Government has so far released about four hundred and eighty-two billion rupees under Public Sector Development Programs to Ministries, Divisions and Departments for different development projects.
According to sources in Planning Commission, over one hundred and twenty-five billion rupees have been released to WAPDA for water and power sector projects. The National Highway Authority has been given over seventy-four billion rupees for implementation of different projects.
Similarly, funds were released to Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division, Interior Division and Higher Education Commission for several development projects.
An amount of over forty-two billion rupees have been released for special areas including AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, States and Frontier Regions and FATA for different development projects. =DNA
