Govt prefers across-the-board accountability: Saira

ISLAMABAD, 05 MAY (DNA) – Minister for Health Saira Afzal Tarar on Thursday said the government was always ready for across the bord accountability.
Talking to a private channel, she said “We are ready to fulfill our commitment. However, the Terms of References (TORs), prepared by the Opposition, are not premised on the principles of justice.”
These only reflected the political motives of the Opposition, she added. She said “We did agree that Panama Papers would be investigated but after new developments, those institutions and individuals who did invest abroad, should also go through the same process,” she added.
Replying to a question, she said the Prime Minister voluntarily offered himself for accountability, despite the fact his name was not mentioned in Panama Leaks.
On a queastion, she pointed out the government was extending full support to security forces in Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi operations, besides acknowledging their sacrifices in the war on terror. She said the government did avail all diplomatic channels in order to take issues to logical conclusions. DNA
