Govt extends date of amnesty scheme for four days
ISLAMABAD, JUN 29 (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has extended the date of tax amnesty scheme.
PTI minister Faisla Vawda in a tweet said that the tax declaration scheme is being extended by four days.
He said that the clause of depositing the declared money in the bank accounts is no longer the part of this scheme. “You can declare but there’s no need to deposit,” Vawda added.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan hinted at an extension in the Asset Declaration Scheme in order to avoid inconvenience caused to citizens by the June 30 deadline.
The prime minister made the remarks while interacting with members of the business community on a special PTV News telethon via video link.
The prime minister said that the people have shown willingness to come under the tax net but they are complaining the paucity of time as the scheme is set to expire on June 30, 2019.
He said people do not have faith on the working of FBR as they consider their tax money will be wasted. He regretted that tax culture could not flourish during the reign of previous governments.
The prime minister said that after the passage of budget, he will sit with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Shabbar Zaidi to clean the tax collection agency of corrupt people.=DNA
