Govt committed to enhance skills of youth: Tariq Fazal
ISLAMABAD, FEB 22 (DNA) -Minister of State for Capital Administration & Development Division (CA&DD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has said government is striving its best to enhance skills of youth by providing technical know-how and Information Technology education to them.
He stated this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Public Private Partnerships Program between National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE) and 360 Technologies (Ptv) Ltd. to provide technical training and education in the field of Information Technology to the educated youth.
Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said that youth skills development program with such a depth is certainly first of its kind in Pakistan and we firmly believe that this program will help to enhance employability. He said that Prime Minister Youth Development Program also aims at training unemployed youth of Pakistan for acquiring productive skills for gainful employment.
The Minister of state stated that science, technology and innovation have become key factors contributing towards economic growth both in developed and developing economies.
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have been at the heart of economic changes for more than a decade now and no nation can afford to lag behind in this all important field of knowledge. The Minister of state said that we believe in our youth and are determined to provide them with al opportunities to excel in life and aggressively grow in their careers of their choice.
NISTE earlier signed an agreement of collaboration with the 360 Technologies (Private) Limited, to jointly start various youth skill development program in information technology through Public Private Partnership. NISTE will provide a platform and 360 Technologies will invest on all other required infrastructure.=DNA
