Govt committed to make Pakistan a green country: PM
HARIPUR, SEPT 02 (DNA) – Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran has said government is committed to achieve target of 10 billion trees all over Pakistan.
He said this while talking to media in Haripur after planting a tree.
Imran Khan further said we have determined to make Pakistan a Green Pakistan and soon this target shall be achieved.
He said, global warming has badly affected most parts of the world. Pakistan is also affected therefore by planting more and more tree we can cope with challenges of global warming.
The PM said tree plantation and cleanliness shall be included in the syllabus as well so that our children could learn about importance of tree plantation from the outset.
He said initially 200 sites have been earmarked where tree shall be planted while more such sites shall soon be identified.
Imran Khan called upon all and sundry to take part in the tree plantation drive considering it as their national duty.
He said we can secure future of our posterity by planting tree.=DNA
