Government to stay in power: Sh Rasheed
LAHORE, MARCH 07 (DNA) : Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed said on Saturday that for the first time in 72 years, any government has been presenting a “business plan” and disapproved any possibility of a change in the government.
While holding a press conference, the minister asserted that the government has planned to privatise nine train services.
He further outlined the profit generated by the railways department this year as compared to the previous year.
“I took charge of the railways (ministership) for the sake of ML-1 […] we are about to introduce a free-track policy,” he stated.
Commenting on PML-N’s Shehbaz Sharif, Mr Rasheed said he was Sharif’s friend.
“Shehbaz Sharif said my sickness, my choice […] my friend has been wearing a new kind of hats,” he added.
The minister further revealed that Prime Minister Imran Khan would soon expose the culprits responsible for creating wheat and sugar crisis, and take a stern action against them.
About the LNG case against PML-N’s Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Mr Rasheed said, “Let him say what he wants, the verdict in the LNG case is soon.”
“Let PPP assert its pressure, but it is not going to succeed in Punjab […] Doesn’t Bilawal look selected in presence of senior politicians [in the party] I don’t take his statement seriously,” he said.
Mr Rasheed further said he considered that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should be strengthened.
