Government decides to keep petroleum prices unchanged
ISLAMABAD, APR 30, (DNA) – The government has decided to keep petroleum product prices unchanged for May with an aim to boost revenue collection.
In a statement today (Sunday), the Ministry of Finance confirmed there will be no change in the prices of petroleum products.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had proposed a cut in motor gasoline, high speed diesel and hike in kerosene and light diesel prices.
The national exchequer is expected to earn within the range of Rs 2 billion to Rs 3 billion from the sales of petroleum products.
From next month, petrol will be sold at Rs74 per liter, high speed diesel Rs83 per liter, kerosene Rs44 per liter and light diesel oil Rs44 per liter.
