Germany’s Social Democratic Party wins most seats in elections

In Germany, Social Democrats have narrowly won the federal elections and have claimed a clear mandate to lead a government for the first time since 2005.
The possible government of SDP will bring to an end 16 years of conservative-led rule under Angela Merkel.
The SPD secured 25.7 percent of the vote, while the ruling conservative bloc gained 24.1 percent.
