General Bajwa visited Headquarters of Special Security Division (SSD)
Rawalpindi, March 11, 2017: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Headquarters of Special Security Division (SSD) responsible for security of Chinese on CPEC and non CPEC projects.
COAS was given a detailed briefing on Integrated Security Mechanism led by the Special Security Division. COAS reiterated Pak Army’s commitment to ensure security for CPEC and the work force involved. He emphasized upon the value we attach to the Chinese help and assistance extended in making this projects a success. COAS also said that Army is fully aware of hostile agenda against CPEC and vowed that the security forces are fully prepared to defeat their design. He appreciated SSD for their state of preparedness and arrangements for execution of the assigned mission and tasks.
Earlier, on arrival, COAS was received by GOC SSD Major General Abid Rafique. Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar was also present at the occasion.
