Former NAB chairman appears before Panama JIT

ISLAMABAD, JUN 29 (DNA) – Former Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lieutenant General (R) Syed Mohammad Amjad has appeared before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that was formed to probe much-hyped Panama Leaks case.
JIT headed by Federal Investigation Agency’s Additional Director General (immigration) Wajid Zia has commenced the hearing during which ex-NAB chairman, who investigated Hudaibiya Paper Mills during Pervez Musharraf era, appeared.
The team has also summoned officials of FIA and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in record tempering case.
Earlier, JIT issued summons of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s children. Hassan Nawaz was called on July 3, Hussain Nawaz will appear on July 4 while Maryam Nawaz will attend hearing on July 5 at 11:am.
The Supreme Court (SC) had directed JIT to submit the final report on July 10.=DNA
