Forces kill 18 terrorists in Karachi after Sehwan attack

KARACHI, FEB 17, (DNA) -At least 18 terrorists were killed in two separate encounters with Rangers in Karachi Friday morning.
The action came a day after a deadly suicide attack killed more than 70 people including 20 children at the shrine of Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan city of Sindh.
In the first incident, seven terrorists were killed near Kathor on Superhighway near Karachi, according to Ranger’s spokesman.
The encounter occurred when terrorists attacked Rangers convoy that was returning to Karachi after rescue work at Sehwan. One Rangers official was also injured in the clash.
In another encounter, 11 terrorists were killed during a search operation in Manghopir area. Two Rangers personnel were injured in the raid.
According to Ranger’s spokesman, the killed terrorists belonged to a banned outfit.
Meanwhile, four terrorists were killed in a raid on their hideout at Bakakhel in Bannu.
