Forces gun down 54 terrorists in operations across country
LAHORE, FEB 17, (DNA) – Security forces have gunned down commanders of banned outfits among 54 terrorists on Friday in numerous counter-terrorism operations across the country after a blast rocked Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine yesterday.
Personnel of law enforcement agencies have seized suicide vests and huge cache of weapons in different cities.
Security forces decimated ten hideouts of Jamaatul Ahrar and killed six terrorists in Khyber Agency’s Loe Shalman area near Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
In a joint operation of intelligence agencies and security personnel in Peshawar’s Regi, three extremists were killed while Kalashnikov and grenades were seized in their possession. Four terrorists were gunned down in Bakka Khel of Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Two terrorists who had attacked a police van at a picket last night in Dera Ismail Khan were killed by law enforcement agencies in an operation in Kolachi area.

Two commanders among six terrorists were killed in an encounter in Orakzai Agency. Four suicide vests, weapons and grenades were seized at the site. Forces gunned down two terrorists in Shangara Dara area near Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Dir Bala.
Two commanders of Tehrik-i-Taliban were killed during a coming operation in Quetta who were identified by names Moulvi Abdul Ghafoor and Jan Muahmmad Mehsud.
In another encounter with extremists near Faisalabad bypass in Sargodha, two terrorists were killed who are yet to be identified. Separately, a suicide bomber among nine terrorists have been killed in the latest of operations by Sindh Police at Sohrab Goth Toll Plaza.
Reportedly, all the nine terrorists belonged to Jamaatul Ahrar and were planning to attack Rangers headquarters.=DNA
