FMs of Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries to discuss Afghan issues today

Islamabad : At the invitation of Pakistan, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of neighbouring countries of Afghanistan is being held in virtual format today (Wednesday) to discuss Afghan issues.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will chair the meeting, which will also be attended by China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting will review the evolving situation in Afghanistan to address common challenges and realize emerging opportunities to ensure regional stability and prosperity.
It will provide an opportunity to neighbours of Afghanistan to work together for shared objective of a peaceful and stable Afghanistan, which is essential to forge strong economic linkages and realize connectivity agenda.
