FM urges world to take steps for provision of economic assistance in Afghanistan
Islamabad : Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the international community to take concrete steps for provision of humanitarian and economic assistance to the Afghan people.
In his telephonic conversation with Kenyan counterpart Raychelle Omamo, he said if situation further deteriorated in Afghanistan, it would lead to a huge outflow of Afghan refugees besides other consequences.
As regards bilateral relations, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan gives special importance to its bilateral relations with Kenya. He said Engage Africa policy is amongst the priorities of our government.
The Foreign Minister expressed strong desire to further strengthen relations with Kenya in the areas of economy, trade and defense.
