FM of Pakistan, Bahrain agree to work for boosting bilateral trade
UNITED NATIONS (DNA) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met his Bahraini counterpart Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday.
The two Foreign Ministers agreed to work closely to reinvigorate bilateral trade, commercial and investment relations, according to an official statement.
They also agreed to interact more closely to revive the institutional mechanisms that exist between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister also raised issues related to the well-being of Pakistani community in Bahrain, the statement said.
He was given the assurance of full cooperation and support of the government of Bahrain, it said.
