FM Dar discusses India’s aggression with Spanish counterpart
ISLAMABAD, MAY 7 /DNA/ – Minister for Foreign Affairs of Spain, José Manuel Albares @jmalbares, held a telephonic conversation today with the DPM/FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The DPM/FM apprised his Spanish counterpart of the grave regional situation arising from India’s unprovoked and unlawful act of aggression, which constituted a flagrant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international law. He underscored the tragic loss of innocent civilian lives and the serious implications of the incident for regional peace and strategic stability. He also conveyed the key deliberations of the meeting of Pakistan’s National Security Committee, held earlier in the day to assess the evolving security environment.
Foreign Minister Albares expressed his condolences over the loss of civilian lives and conveyed that the Government of Spain was monitoring the situation with utmost seriousness. He emphasized the importance of dialogue, restraint, and diplomacy in addressing the crisis.
In a spirit of international cooperation, Foreign Minister Albares offered Spain’s good offices, including possible engagement through relevant multilateral forums, to facilitate dialogue.
