Fire erupts in oil, spear parts godown in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, MAR 30 (DNA) – Huge fire broke out in godown of oil and spear parts in Rawalpindi’s Westridge area on Friday.
The blaze was so intense that it also engulfed a second shade.
Cantonment board’s fire brigade and rescue teams arrived at the scene and doused the fire after hectic efforts of two hours.
The nearby houses of the godown were evacuated while analyzing the intensity of fire whereas the area’s electricity was also disconnected.
Sources say that the godown was illegally constructed in the residential area whereas black oil and spear parts of vehicles smuggled from Afghanistan were kept.
