KARACHI, MAR 30 (DNA) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) PIB leader Farooq Sattar on Thursday has announced to continue contact with party’s rival faction despite differences.

In a joint press conference with MQM Bahadurabad wing Chief Khalid Maqbool, Farooq Sattar said that confusions were emerged regarding issue of party’s convenership.

Meanwhile, Khalid Maqbool and Kishwar Zahra welcomed Farooq Sattar and said that it will be good if he frequently visits Bahadurabad.

Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC) had suspended the decision of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to remove Farooq Sattar as convener of MQM and directed to restore him on the post.

On Monday, ECP had sacked Farooq Sattar from the position of MQM-P convener.

A five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan announced the verdict.

The ECP five-member bench had also annulled intra-party elections of PIB wing and dismissed objections of Farooq Sattar challenging the jurisdiction of ECP in the case.
