Enhanced media connections strengthen Pak-Iran relations: Pervaiz
ISLAMABAD, 28 JUNE, (DNA) – Enhanced media connections between Iran and Pakistan would further reinforce and consolidate the already strong relationship between the two brotherly countries.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Federal Minister for IB & NH said this in a meeting with Mehdi Honardoost, Ambassador of Iran who called on him here today in Islamabad. He said that media can be an effective tool in promoting people to people contacts and to remove misconceptions between the two countries to build better understanding on matters of mutual interest.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that Pakistan highly values its ties with Iran and consider it a close friend as both countries share a common history, religion, culture and heritage which binds the two countries in friendship and brotherhood. Information Minister also emphasized the need for exchange of media delegations, so that both could learn from each other experiences and best practices.
During a meeting between Senator Pervaiz Rashid and Mehdi Honardoost, ambassador of Iran, cooperation in the field of media, information and culture came under discussion. The Minister and the Ambassador reiterated their resolve to further enhance bilateral ties between Iran and Pakistan for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries. =DNA
