Embassy of Egypt clarifies no visa sanctions imposed on Pakistani nationals
ISLAMABAD, JAN 23 (DNA) – Embassy of Egypt has clarified that no visa sanctions policy has been imposed by Egypt on Pakistani nationals, on Thursday.
Officials of the Egyptian embassy said, these allegations are incorrect and no such sanctions policy has been placed by Egypt.
The Embassy appreciates the earlier clarification of the Spokesperson of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan who denied such allegations.
The process for granting the Visa(s) is clearly indicated on the Embassys website and on the visa service provider website, and that the review process takes 6 weeks.
Beside above, the Embassy emphasized that the numbers of visa in the previous two fiscal years 2017-2018, and 2018-2019 increased to unprecedented levels for tourism and business visas (nearly four thousand visas in 2019, not including diplomatic and official) with a minimal rejection percentage.
The Egyptian embassy availed this opportunity to stress on the importance of the contribution of tourism, business trips, cultural and people to people exchange between both brotherly countries, as a catalyst for economy and development.
Egyptian officials said, in light of the friendly relationship between Egypt and Pakistan, we are looking forward to an increase in the flow of visits between both the countries.=DNA
