China believes in work together, grow together, succeed together!

To get an insight into the magnitude of the monumental progress that China has made in  recent decades a trip is the answer because only the physical experience will tell the real story!

I feel myself to be fortunate to have journeyed various parts of China especially northeast areas and Beijing. The old adage that seeing is believing, was true to the word that China’s development is not a cosmetic one rather an outcome of long and strenuous struggle made by all successive governments.

They have managed to indigenize all the elements of the modern world on their way to progress and development yet the Chinese society retains its language and without losing its identity. Chinese leaders now very rightly proudly boast of their second position after the US among the world’s top economic powers. China’s rapid development as a result, is among the puzzles of the present era that allowed a country which was highly reliant on agriculture to have transformed into a major commercial and industrial hub in a short span.

The 12-day tour that encompassed visits of Changchun, capital of Jilin province and Harbin, Daoli district, Heilongjiang province and Beijing, helped me to witness how various institutions, departments and people have been working hand in hand to take ongoing economic and social revolution to new heights.  Instead of focusing on individual progress and protectionism, they have concentrated on global and shared destiny.

Playing a crucial role to sensitize world about what the dynamics of their progress, China Radio International Online put together ten foreign experts in the shape of delegation in which I represented Pakistan as a senior journalist. Other members of the delegation included Mr. Maxhun Peka from Albania, Mr. Yury Tavrovskiy from Russia, Mr. Romeo Orlandi from Italy,  Mr. Gregory Heller from France, Mr. Nikolay Marinov from Bulgaria, Mr. Pham Khuong Duy from Vietnam, Mr. Jose Marquitos Ferreira from Portugal and Mr. Duggy Day from UK.

Highlights of the tour included visits to a broad spectrum of places like the vast  production line of Jeifang J6 truck, Hongqi exhibition hall at FAW group, 11th China-Northeast Asia Expo, Jilin Animation Institute, Changchun Beihu science park and information office of the People’s government of Jilin province, Stalin Avenue, Cultural Avenue Park, panorama of pigeons and flying kites, Chinese cuisine, Central Avenue (a Western style lively corridor of Harbin), Bund Harbin Qunli Wetland, wisdom community, home community health service center, Harbin innovative financial Industry park, Changling lake as Longjiang leisure vacation and Asia’s first large aircraft dismantling base.

At the opening ceremony of “Foreign Opinion Leaders” trip to Beijing at Yongding gate tower, we were given awards of China-Friendly Netizen 2017. Later, we also visited the national new media industrial base in Daxing district, Starlight Studio, Beujing Kaku Cartoon Satellite channel, Beijing’s famous fashion park 751 D-park, Chinese traditional Beijing Opera and national museum.

My conclusion is that China has a robust potential to assume the charge of a responsible world power.  It knows very well how to team up with every country across the globe to achieve the set targets of shared economy, socio-political boom, peace and stability, agriculture & industrial revolution, cultural & heritage modernization and high-tech innovation in all spheres of life.

Every country is being provided a level playing field to make a turnaround irrespective of its political system, religion and geo-political status.  It is no exaggeration to claim that China has found the secret of progress which pivoted on the theme of “work together, grow together and succeed together”.

As China continues its reforms in economy, industrialization, agriculture, infrastructure development welcoming tech savvy innovation, seamless progress is in full swing. While uplifting the lives of people and upgrading far flung areas brimming with mega structures, bullet trains and better eco-system, I believe that China has indeed raised the bars very high for other nations.

In the end, I must pay homage to Wang Wenjun, vice president of CRI, Gao Lianzhong, vice president of CRIOnline, Jiang Baoning, vice director of online review bureau, cyberspace administration of China, Izhang Jinlin, director of information office of People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and other government officials and CRIOnline people who made our enlightening tour highly successful. Mr. Gao Lianzhong, Ms Xue Mei, Huan Yang and Ms. Gaofei are among those Chinese friends who will be remembered by me forever.
