ECP directs to present Imran Khan on September 25 after arrest
LAHORE, SEPT 15 (DNA) – Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday issued bailable arrest warrant of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
ECP’s Additional Director General Law has sent the directives to Senior Superintendant Police (SSP) Operations. ECP has ordered SSP Operations to arrest Imran Khan and present him before the commission on September 25.
On Thursday, ECP ordered to issue bailable arrest warrant against PTI chairman in contempt of court case to ensure his presence before the bench.
ECP has taken the decision because PTI chief failed to appear before it. Khan has also been directed to submit surety bond of Rs100,000 until the next hearing.
