We don’t want US aid: Shehbaz Sharif denounces US allegations

LAHORE, JAN 04 (DNA) – Shehbaz Sharif has denounced the recent allegations of the US President Donald Trump in which he accused Pakistan of deceit and lies, saying “we don’t want American aid”.
Addressing to an event in Lahore, the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) said that he was very disappointed at the recent statements of the US President, adding that he disregarded the country’s sovereignty. “We should come together and react with valour as well as responsibility against Trump’s tweet,” he suggested.
He invited all stakeholders to come together and decide the future relationship with the US. The Punjab CM advised against taking the US aid for once and for all, and challenged US to audit the provided funds.
On Chinese cooperation with Islamabad, he told that the friendly neighbouring country will stand by Pakistan in thick and thin. He announced to fight against the cruel system.
Earlier on, Shehbaz Sharif met the Punjab lawmakers and said that the political rivals will pay for their opposition to the development projects in the province. He vowed to serve the people and called it the manifesto of the ruling PML-N.
