LAHORE, DEC 16 (DNA) – While lashing out at those issuing anti-judiciary remarks, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday remarked that abusing and disrespecting judiciary is not a good precedent.

Addressing a seminar in Lahore, the Chief Justice said no one should doubt integrity of the judiciary. It is our responsibility to provide justice as per law and constitution.

“The judiciary is your baba… do not doubt its integrity,” he stated after narrating story of a village elder.

He further mentioned: “If a decision is issued against you, don’t abuse [the judiciary] by saying that baba has become part of a design or a grand plan.”

People should be proud of judges as they all are neutral and no such person has been born who could pressurize the judiciary.

“Verduct in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case would have been different if judges had bias approach,” Justice Saqib Nisar stressed.
