‘We have done enough, time now for Afghanistan, US to do more’: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI, DEC 28 (DNA) – Briefing media about latest developments with regard to the country’s security situation, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Thursday said that Pakistan has done enough in war against terrorism and its time for Afghanistan alongside United States (US) to do more.
Addressing a press conference, he said the security forces took effective action against terrorists and they were made a run for it.
Dispelling a perception about Pak Army’s inaction against Haqqani Network, Ghafoor said the army took indiscriminate action against the terror outfit and it has no presence in the country.
Referring to funds received by US, he said it is received to support the coalition partners in Afghanistan waging war against terrorists. “The title of fund programme itself annotates everything,” the DG ISPR asserted.
He also denied Indian media claims of its army’s infiltrating into the country and conducted an operation in which three of Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom.
“No Indian soldier crossed over LOC. Indian media claim is continuation of their self defeating projections to satisfy domestic audience,” Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor underlined.
