D-8, Turkish media forge strategic partnership deal
ISTANBUL, AUG 7 /DNA/ – The Secretary-General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation held a high-level meeting with Mr. İbrahim Zahid Altay, Editor-in-Chief of Daily Sabah and General Manager of Turkuvaz Publishing, at the Turkuvaz Media Center in Istanbul on Friday.
The talks centered on strengthening strategic media partnerships to enhance global awareness of the D-8’s founding vision and the evolution of its practical cooperation framework. Both sides underscored the critical need for coordinated strategic communications amid current global uncertainties, emphasizing the importance of deeper engagement among media professionals and opinion-makers from D-8 Member States through regular exchanges and increased interactions.
In a joint discussion, the officials agreed that leveraging digital transformation and empowering the D-8 youth must remain a special focus of their collaborative efforts. The Secretary-General expressed deep appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the Turkish media group and voiced optimism about future cooperation to further amplify the D-8’s international profile and collective voice on the global stage.
