CPPA seeks 6-paisa per unit increase in power tariff
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has sought 6-paisa per unit increase in power tariff on account of fuel price adjustment for the month of June 2019.
According to sources, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) will hear the CPPA petition in this regard on August 6. The tariff increase will, however, not be applicable to lifeline consumers, agriculture consumers and K-Electric consumers.
In the month of June, 29.19 percent of electricity was produced from hydropower projects, 15.49 from coal, 5.26 from furnace oil, 14.29 from gas and 27.47 percent of electricity was produced from LNG.
