Court dismisses Shaukat Tareen petition
ISLAMABAD, APR 18 (DNA) – The Hon’ble Islamabad High Court (IHC), on Tuesday dismissed a petition of former Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin seeking acquittal in NAB’s Reference pertaining to the corruption in Rental Power Project (RPP) case.
Senior Advocate Mr. Salman Aslam Butt, former Attorney General had argued the case on behalf of Mr. Shaukat Tareen whereas the case on behalf of NAB was contested by Sardar Muzaffar Ahmed Khan, Deputy Prosecutor General NAB Rawalpindi / Islamabad.
A Divisional Bench of IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, after hearing lengthy arguments from counsels of both sides on 27-03-2018, had reserved the Judgment which has been announced on April 17, 2018.
