Consensus on ToRs to be developed soon for independent accountability
ISLAMABAD, 19 MAY (DNA) – Member National Assembly (MNA) of PML-N, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Thursday hoped that the consensus on accountability system would be developed soon like all political stakeholders agreed on elections reforms.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said the politicians who were hurling allegations against his party leadership were found involved in Panama scandal. Those people, he was of the view that now wanted to run from their accountability
He said the PML-N government wanted the accountability of all people who were involve in corruption, embezzlement of national exchequer and write off loans from banks across the board. The MNA said some political elements just wanted to target his party leadership rather than sincere efforts against the corruption in the country.
His party leadership, he said, had presented itself for accountability and now the political rivals wanted to run from transparent accountability due to their involvement in Panama leaks. MNA of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Mina Attique Ahmed said his party had chosen right direction during the current dispute on Panama papers. He said it was not clear that stance of which political party was right on Panama papers. DNA
