COAS expresses grief on martyrdom of PTI’s Ikramullah Gandapur

RAWALPINDI, (DNA) – Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed grief on martyrdom of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) candidate Ikramullah Gandapur in the heinous terror attack, reported Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major Gen Asif Ghafoor.
He tweeted, “COAS expresses his grief on martyrdom of Ikramullah Gandapur in suicide attack. “We have lost another patriotic political leader who are being targeted by enemies of peace & democratic process. We stay determined & steadfast. Blood of our martyrs shall not go waste, IA”, COAS.
Sardar Ikramullah Gandapur has embraced martyrdom while several injured as a blast hit his election rally in Dera Ismail Khan’s Kulachi area today (Sunday).
Getting information about the mishap, the rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
He “succumbed to his injuries in Combined Military Hospital after a suicide bomber blew himself up near his Land Cruiser (SUV) this morning,” district police chief Zaheer Afridi told .
