COAS Bajwa vows to protect Saudi geographical sovereignty
RAWALPINDI, AUG 09 (DNA) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa vowed that Pakistan is committed to protecting the geographical sovereignty of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and defending Haramain Sharifain.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), army chief met Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defence Minister Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al-Aysh on Wednesday to discuss issues of mutual importance, including the regional security.
COAS stressed that Pakistan gives importance to the ties with KSA, adding that the defence agreements with Saudi government hold significance. He promised to protect the sacred places of Muslims.
KSA’s deputy defence minister praised the efforts made by Pakistan Army for peace and prosperity by fighting terrorism. He embraced the sacrifices made by brave soldiers. He backed Pakistan’s stance on international affairs.
