CM Shahbaz Sharif arrives at Federal Judicial Academy to appear before JIT

ISLAMABAD, JUN 17 (DNA) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will appear before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) at the Federal Judicial Academy today (Saturday) in connection with the Panama leaks scandal.
CM Punjab arrived in the federal capital on a special plane on Friday and will appear before the JIT today. He will go the Federal Judicial Academy on his personal vehicle without any protocol. He will be accompanied by his son Hamza Shahbaz and provincial law minister Rana Sana Ullah.
The Chief Minister has also barred his supporters and PML-N workers and leaders from reaching the Federal Judicial Academy.
On the other hand, Islamabad police have finalized tight security arrangements during CM Punjab’s visit to Federal Judicial Academy. Contingents of police, traffic police, Special Branch, FC and Rangers will provide security cover.
At least 2500 security officials will be deployed to ensure stringent security during Shahbaz Sharif’s appearance before JIT. Officers will also be deployed at various rooftops around Federal Judicial Academy.
