CM Buzdar lays foundation stone of Nishtar Hospital phase-II
MULTAN (DNA) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday laid the foundation stone of the Nishtar Hospital phase-II on old Shujabad Road near Southern Bypass at Moza Balil area of Multan.
Meanwhile, CM Buzdar addressed a ceremony in which he stated that ten mega-projects related to the hospital and provision of essential medical facilities would soon be completed.
He said providing adequate health facilities were the highest priority of the provincial government.
According to details, 58-acre land has been allocated for constructing the hospital with more than 1000-bed capacity.
The Nishtar Hospital, built in 1952 and one of the largest hospitals in Pakistan, has been providing health facilities to the people of South Punjab, various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan.
The total area of the campus, hospital and hostel area is more than 112 acres. Originally, it had a capacity of 1102 beds which was later increased to 1,705 beds.
