Clash outside accountability court: Maryam urges interior ministry to probe incident
ISLAMABAD, OCT 13 (DNA) – Ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s daughter Maryam Nawaz on Friday strongly condemned the clash between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawyers and security officers while the former tried to enter in accountability courtroom.
While talking to media, Maryam expressed ‘deep regret’ over the incident and called on the interior ministry for interrogation into the matter.
It all happened as Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Safdar appeared before the accountability court for indictment proceedings. However; the hearing was adjourned without any proceeding till October 18 after PML-N lawyers and supporters created a racket.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry also termed the clash regretful and told that investigation has been ordered in the matter.
Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali asserted that no one has a monopoly outside the court. He urged to conduct a probe to find out the person behind torture on lawyers.
