CJCSC arrives Sri Lanka on official visit
Colombo, FEB 10: /DNA/ – Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza arrived in Sri Lanka for an official visit.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was accorded a red carpet reception and a traditional welcome on his arrival at BIA, who is on his first overseas visit after taking over as CJCSC on the invitation of his counterpart General Shavindra Silva.
Later in the day, he called on General Shavindra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff Sri Lanka at his office. On arrival at the Office of Chief of Defence Staff, the Chairman was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of Sri Lankan tri-services. Both commanders had a detailed discussion on enhancing defence cooperation between the two friendly armed forces. The Chairman will call on the President of Sri Lanka, Secy Defense and Tri-Services Chiefs during his stay in Sri Lanka. DNA
