Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang arrives in Philippines for ASEAN meetings

MANILA, NOV 12 (DNA) –  Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang arrived in the Philippines today for an official visit and to participate in the meetings of leaders of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) on cooperation.
Upon arrival, Li noted that in a world context characterized by weak economic recovery, East Asia has maintained regional trade and development, becoming a stabilizing force in a complex and changing international scenario.

During his five-day stay in the Philippines, the first visit by a Chinese prime minister in ten years, Li will attend the 29th Meetings of Chinese-ASEAN leaders, the one between the regional bloc and Japan and the Republic of Korea (10+3) and the 12th East Asia Summit.

He underlined that the association is in a new starting point of development and that Beijing will work with all parties to build stronger community of shared future.
