Chinese funding for CPEC projects dispersed: FO refutes reports of halt
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – The Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Mohammad Faisal said on Thursday that the funding for CPEC projects is approved and disbursed as per the agreed principles between the governments, ministries and companies of the two countries, refuting the reports of any halt in funding.
While press briefing in the capital, he told that details of the Chinese funding can be obtained from the concerned ministries.
“We have not received any information from the Chinese side regarding halting funding for any project.”
FO refuted the statements of the United States (US) Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, saying that Pakistan has undertaken large scale operations against terrorists and safe havens across the length and breadth of the country with notable success.
“These operations are being carried out in our own national interest and Pakistan is determined to rid it s soil of the scourge of terrorism and extremism.”
