Chinese DCM calls on ISPR chief, lauds army’s efforts

RAWALPINDI, August 23 (DNA): Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of Chinese Embassy Lijjan Zhao on Wednesday called on Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor and lauded the efforts of DG ISPR for strengthening coordination between the armies of two countries.
According to Pakistan Army’s media wing, the Chinese DCM visited the ISPR and held a meeting with the Major General Asif Ghafoor.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed. The Chinese DCM praised the role of Pakistan Army for upholding Pak-China Friendship while asserting that China is determined to continue strengthening its friendship with Pakistan.
Just a day before, a nine-member Afghan media delegation visited ISPR and interacted with Major General Asif Ghafoor.
The visiting journalists were briefed on efforts by Pakistan towards peace and stability along Pak-Afg Border and role of media for its rightful projection.
The delegation is on a week-long visit to Pakistan, visiting different places including North Waziristan Agency.
