Chinese conglomerate shows interest in operating buses across Sindh
KARACHI, MAY 31 (DNA) – It seems that Karachittes’ traffic miseries are going to end soon as a Chinese conglomerate Yutong bus and China Operator has shown interest in running intra-city and inter-city buses across Sindh.
According to details, eleven-member Chinese delegation led by General Manager Shi Cun Tu called on Sindh Board of Investment Chairperson Naheed Memon at Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) office in Karachi and pondered on investment opportunities in this sector.
Shi Cun Tu informed Memon that Chinese company was interested in establishing a manufacturing plant in Sindh and wanted to run intra-city and inter-city buses across Sindh. Memon, while extolling investment offer, apprised Chinese delegation that there existed vast opportunities of investment in transport sector.
Memon further narrated that Sindh government encouraged public-private joint ventures. The chairperson asked Chinese delegation to submit complete set of proposal to Sindh government in this regard at earliest in order to expedite work on the project.=DNA
