ISLAMABAD, Feb. 20 (DNA): Zong 4G, China Mobile Pakistan (CMPak) ─under the supervision and guidance of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Frequency Allocation Board (FAB) ─ has successfully implemented the Rationalisation Plan in the 1800 MHz spectrum band.
According to Gwadar Pro, PTA has conducted Spectrum Auction in Pakistan in September 2021 in accordance with the Policy Directive of the Government of Pakistan, which was issued on August 4, 2021.
Accordingly, PTA issued the rationalization plan in 1800 MHz spectrum band in consultation with FAB for contiguity of spectrum by all Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) including Zong 4G for efficient spectrum utilization.
The CMOs including Zong 4G in a coordinated activity of approximately three months, implemented the Rationalization Plan, according to PTA, adding that the technical teams of all stakeholders worked day and night for a successful outcome, without disturbance of services in the entire Pakistan.
The Rationalisation plan will ensure efficient utilization of contiguous spectrum holdings and better user experience and would be beneficial for the launch of future technologies in Pakistan.
