China donates $ 100,000 to PRC for earthquake victims
ISLAMABAD, OCT 28 (DNA) – Ambassador of People’s Republic of China Sun Weidong on Monday donated USD 100,000 to Pakistan Red Crescent for earthquake victims.Mr. Weidong handed over the donation cheque to PRC chairman Dr. Saeed Elahi at PRCS national headquarters.The Chinese ambassador said, the Chinese government and people share the pain and grief of the people affected by the current earthquake in Pakistan and assured full support in provision of relief to the affected people.
Dr. Saeed Elahi thanked the Chinese government for their generous support and hoped that the donation would help in alleviating the sufferings of the victims.
He said, PRC is full alive to the needs of the earthquake victims and is supporting thousands of affected families with shelters, on food items and medical care. He said that PRCS was providing relief as per international standards in collaboration with International Committee for Red Cross, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.=DNA
