Cells for addressing grievances of overseas Pakistanis
ISLAMABAD, JUN 05 (DNA) – A meeting of the National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee (NJPMC) under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan was held in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on 13 May 2017 and was also attended by Members of the NJPMC i.e. Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court and High Courts.
The Committee (NJPMC) discussed and deliberated amongst others on agenda item titled as “Grievance of Overseas Pakistanis/Appointment of Designated Judges”. After deliberations it was decided by the NJPMC that Cells will be established in the Supreme Court of Pakistan and all the High Courts which could also be approached by the Overseas Pakistanis through email for redressal of their grievances.
The Overseas Pakistanis are requested to mention their National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) number or identity as Overseas Pakistani duly verified from the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis in their complaints.The complaints could be forwarded either by post or online on the addresses of the Cells established in the Supreme Court of Pakistan and respective High Courts details of which are available on the website of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan.=DNA
