CDA conducts fire safety drill at Parliament house

ISLAMABAD, SEP 4: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) conducted a special fire safety mock drill at Parliament House, Islamabad, to assess and strengthen emergency preparedness and response mechanisms in the event of a fire or other emergency.
As part of the exercise, a simulated fire situation was created inside the Parliament House to assess evacuation procedures, emergency response, timely communication with relevant authorities, rescue operations and other essential safety measures.
Officers and officials of the Parliament House actively participated in the drill and extended full cooperation to the CDA staff. The exercise also provided an opportunity to review existing emergency arrangements and identify areas for further improvement.
Officials said such drills are aimed at enhancing institutional preparedness, strengthening safety systems and ensuring the protection of human lives while minimizing potential losses during emergencies.
